Yekini Amoda now Bola Tinubu was born on march 29th,1935 in a small town called Iragbiji Osun state to the poor family of Ogunlere.
Ambitious and conny he left Iragbiji for Ibadan where he had his primary education. While growing up though he was above average in class he was stubborn, on different occasion his parents were summoned because he was either gang fighting or missing school.
On completion of his primary school about to be enrolled in secondary school he disappeared to go fend for himself in Lagos Island. While in Lagos Island Yekini Amoda met the woman leader of Awolowo's action group a rich and connected drug dealer called Abibatu Mogaji, she noticed the usefulness of Yekini Amoda and picked interest in him.
She took him in to work as her house help. She performed some loyalty test on Yekini Amoda who passed with flying colours, following which she decided to adopt him.
The senior brother (Kafaru Tinubu) of Abibatu Mogaji had just lost his daughter (Bola Tinubu) after a brief illness, who was about to go to USA for her studies. Inline with the with Yekini Amoda's passed loyalty test Abibatu Mogaji convinced her brother to allow Yekini Amoda use his daughter's traveling documents to travel to the USA. They had a gender issue on the document since the deceased Bola Tinubu was female and Yekini Amoda a male but with top connections they were able to resolve the gender issue. That was how a hardened drug baron was created out of an ambitious young man.
