There are five upgrades available to Mc's wild tank and some were highly sought-after (accuria and agi's cloakoff). Tier WOW Classic Burning Crusade Gold gear was ineffective, other than a few pieces being suitable for a fire resist tank set. Other items that fell (heavy iron ring in dark brown, shoulders for fireguards) were all free since there was no demand for them so it wasn't all that exciting.
A little less memorable But I believe that's due to having more choices. There are three possible pants. There could be one heroic pant, another Kara and one of the made-to-order pants. The bis might slightly edge out the other items. In vanilla you would go from that blue dungeon, to the sole upgrade available for that phase.
Vanilla was the most distinctive equipment but TBC gear is very memorable. You have DST, stunherald/lionheart, Ashes of alar, warglavies, spellstrike/spellfire/shadoweave sets, Latros shifting sword, the sun eater (not meta but still a status item back in the day on priv servers). There's plenty of items that aren't as insane as vanilla. In wotlk , it gets a little quick however, mostly due to two problems. It's an oof to have Naxx 15x2.
I started playing TBC Classic a week ago, and as a new player, I want to get directions for the zones, dungeons, and raids in Outland. I can play them in the order they appear on the map, but the important thing is that everything I do within the expansion to happen in chronological order in terms of lore. I've completed all of the quests within Hellfire Peninsula, the two Dungeons of Hellfire Citadel, and all the quests in Zangarmarsh in the Serpent Lake dungeons. Then I'm getting quests in several zones and I'm feeling a bit lost.
It's looking too much through the retail lens. There's no "chronological or overarching story" that the expansion quests have. Most things are contained within their respective areas. There was no great story telling back then. In 68, you have the option to select between Shadowmoon and Netherstorm. However, neither of them is in any way related to or include the other. There's not a right sequence of events. That being said, for raids, it's best to go through Kara > Gruul's > Magtheridon > Tempest Keep/Sepernt shrine (again it's not in the same sequence), Hyjal, Black Temple, Sunwell. ZA is fun and exists. However, like all trolls it's not "in" in any way.
TBC was designed as an expansion and playing a TBC server gives you access Classic games (though it's outdated). They're however, currently considered as distinct games to those who prefer the endgame of the classic/vanilla version.
Wow classic is dead. I'd suggest tbc to anyone looking for vanilla. Are you a beginner? If so, I would suggest that buy WOW TBC Gold you go with retail instead. It's more refined and offers many improvement in quality of life.
