What does an expanded Sealed 12v Battery look like?
Remove the Sealed 12v Battery from the device immediately. The battery swells due to overcharging. After the battery is fully charged, excessive current will flow into the battery. Constant current will decompose the moisture in the electrolyte and age prematurely. At a high overcharge rate, the battery will gradually heat up. As it gets hotter, it will receive more current and heat up further. This is called thermal runaway, and it can damage the battery in just a few hours. Heat will cause the battery to swell.

You can connect the Sealed 12v Battery in series or parallel. Connecting the Sealed 12v Battery in series will produce a higher voltage. For example, connecting two 12 volt batteries will provide you with a 24-volt output. Connecting batteries in parallel increases the capacity (Ah).
