What is Urinary Catheters?
Favorites
Description
A urinary catheter is a hollow, partly flexible tube that, when an individual is unable to do it normally, is used to remove urine. The increase in the number of prostate surgeries; the increase in the incidence of benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary incontinence and spinal cord injury; increase in the geriatric population; and the adoption of beneficial reimbursement programmes for the use of intermittent catheters further fuel the growth of the market for urinary self-catheters.
